Back in March, The Baby Blanket was contacted by Anna, a member of Women of Worth (WOW).  WOW is a woman’s ministry at Northbrook Church in North Branch, MN.  They were planning a retreat in the spring and, as part of the weekend, they wanted to include an outreach project/craft that the women could work on.  As Anna said, “Our heart is to reach out to young moms …” and suggested making fleece tie-blankets for infants.  We told Anna that we were already doing something similar, but instead of finishing them, we pre-cut them all and then gave them to our pregnant moms to finish with the idea of giving the moms an opportunity to make a gift for their newborn.  Anna jumped on the idea. 

At the end of June, Anna, and Heather (another WOW member), along with two of their children, delivered twenty blankets for our ministry!  What a beautiful gift of love and generosity!  They indicated that they had additional fleece that they were not able finish during their retreat so Heather is spearheading a plan to have Northbrook’s youth group finish them as they meet over the summer/fall.  They just keep on giving!
